I wanted to take a moment to address the most prominent news item affecting our society. The Coronavirus has literally swept the globe and has now reached our communities. The Manchester Outreach was started to bring Jesus to the people of greater Manchester, that includes bringing faith, hope, peace, miracles, signs, and wonders.
Times like this only strengthen our burden for those around us. As a people of faith we must walk by faith and not by sight, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't recognize the levity of the situation and take precautions. Seeing the panic that has set in and the fear that has gripped so many, we must strive to bring hope and speak peace to those around us. We also should follow basic recommended physical guidelines such as limiting physical contact, regularly wash our hands, don't touch our faces, social distancing and self quarantining when we have the symptoms.
I am imploring everyone to stay in prayer for all those impacted by this outbreak both on our shores and abroad. Please also pray for wisdom to be endued to our leaders no matter what political affiliation to make the correct decisions to lead us onward. My final request is pray that God be glorified through this as His people step up and assist in anyway possible.
We have transitioned to a “virtual church” format in which we livestream our services via Facebook live on our Facebook page. So “let’s get together” no matter how far apart we may be!
In regards to our home on Amory St. We are finally entering the home stretch. There will be a City of Manchester planning committee meeting on April 1st where our conditional use permit application will be addressed. Certified letters have been sent out by the city notifying all abutters. Some have even reached out already with questions.
The city is requiring the plaza to update its parking lot to current codes. The new layout will have a few less spots but hopefully will help beautify the curb appeal of the plaza. We want to be a part of a thriving community that call Gosselins Plaza home. We are hoping this will go smoothly and we will be able to return home in the very near future!
